DIRECTIONS FROM sT. tHOMAS AIRPORT TO MAFOLIE HOTEL:
We are about 10 - 15 minutes from the airport, depending on traffic.
- Exit the Airport parking lot through the toll booth. Follow the road around the airport runway.
(Remember to drive on the left!)
- At the traffic life, turn right onto Rte 30. You will stay on this road for a little over two miles
(3.2 km), eventually passing through downtown Charlotte Amalie with the harbor on your
right.
- Toward the end of the downtown area, you will come upon a large brick red Fort on your
left .Immediately after the Fort is a large municipal parking lot, followed by a traffic light.
At the traffic light, turn left onto Rte 35.
- Proceed on Rte 35 through the next traffic light until you reach a stop sign. At the stop sign,
turn left and continue on Rte 35 (also designated as "Maude Proudfoot Drive") up the hill.
- Continue up the hill, which will bear first to the right and then to the left. After a sharp hair-pin
curve, you will see a sign for the Mafolie Hotel and Restaurant on the left. Continue up the hill
and make your next left onto Rte 33. We are a short distance up Rte 33 on the left.
Directions from redhook to mafolie hotel:
We are about 15 - 20 minutes from the Redhook, depending on traffic (Remember to drive on the left!)
- When departing the parking lot take a right traveling north on Rte. 38. You will pass a few resorts,
such as the Wyndham Sugar Bay resort.
- As you continue on Rte 38, the road starts to climb and curve to your right. You will take a right onto
Rte 42, which is a very sharp right turn.
- Stay on Rte 42, until it turns into Rte 40, "Skyline Drive" (do not veer right onto 42.)
- Once you are on Rte. 40, you will reach another intersection. Stay to the right.
- Continue on Rte 40 until you reach a fork. Take a left onto Rte 35. This road will start heading down
the hill. you will see views of the harbor on the left. You will take your next right onto 33.
- You will see a sign for the Mafolie Hotel and Restaurant on the left. You may park anywhere on the
street.
